Brooklands College is a Further Education College with two campuses based in Weybridge and Ashford. We pride ourselves on providing innovative and effective programmes for learners of all abilities.
The College is seeking to recruit a fulltime Digital and Computing lecturer to join our curriculum team. This is a new and exciting opportunity to deliver on the new Digital T Level and Transition to T Level programmes from September 2023. T Levels are new technical qualifications that combine classroom learning, and on the job experience.
We are looking for a truly inspirational teacher who can create a positive and innovative learning environment for our students. We also welcome applications from those individuals currently working in industry and are looking to step into teaching and gain a teaching qualification with us.
The successful candidate must have a relevant degree or equivalent vocational qualification, and a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards). Industry experience and/or the ability to teach on all or some of the following specialisms listed is required:
·Website Development: Client (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and server side (PHP & MySQL) languages. A knowledge of WAMP/ XAMP or USBWebserver.
·Software Development: SDLC, models and languages (including Python, C++, C#, Java, VB.net) along with appropriate IDEs (Visual Studio 2017 with mobile emulator, Eclipse, NetBeans).
- HCI and multimedia: knowledge of modern HCI developments and a good understanding of multimedia software such as Adobe Photoshop.
- Database Development: with Access and SQL.
·Networking and technical support including server connectivity, NAS and network topologies, configuration of digital systems and protocols etc.
